As someone that has never subscribed to Sky and a Senior season ticket holder, it would cost me £12 to watch the game on Sky (were I to buy a day pass on NowTV/Roku stick) or £10 to attend the game.

So do I pay money to an American conglomerate or to Huw Jenkins?

A defence that leaks like a sieve and apparently still no room for Seberry. Anyone else starting to get early doubts about Nelson?

Doubts about Jardim have been there since we first read about him and what he had already done We were just hoping they would not be fulfilled. But to be fair the squad he was given had little to do with him. But you would think he would get animated now and again as the latest disaster unfolds in front of him.

Different approach too. Much less dallying in defence with longer balls being played. Much better.

It's always difficult to gauge these games because logically a League 2 side should really beat even a very good U21 side more often than not. Having said that West Ham have a long history of producing players comfortable on the ball and that was evident in tonights game.

I thought it was a decent enough game and the switch to a four at the back (as I've been suggesting for a few weeks) generally worked well. Personally I wouldn't have started Brennan because my thinking would be to have the same back four in place that will start the next two games when Brennan remains banned. But him and Jameson had a decent relationship and West Ham didn't really have too many attempts on goal. I thought Brennan looked solid throughout and Baker had a good game generally. Morris was impressive in midfield, which was just as well because Keiron Evans didn't have his best game. Jephcott seemed to be playing as an attacking midfielder and looked okay, but he desperately needs the ball hitting him and going in to get him more confident in what he does. Kamwa is a winger and so will have games where he's on fire, and other games where he's anomymous. Tonight was neither but he did look a bit tired. Hudlin and Rai are at a similar stage of their development - still growing into their bodies. Hudlin is all height and legs so thin you worry about him snapping them in a heavy challenge. He probably needs to run around a bit more, but I'm sure he'll be better for the game and the points raised by the coaches post game. Rai does the running but is still too slight of frame and needs to be stronger. He's still young and is still growing into his frame (as Hudlin will be). The problem with both is whether their respective clubs will persevere with them while their finish their physical growth. I think both need time playing to tip the balance in their favour. But will they get it?

So okay performance, hopefully the team will be in a better place than they were on Saturday afternoon, and build from here. Barrow will be difficult on Saturday but the way County beat decent sides and lose to bottom table sides in recent years suggests that a win isn't fanciable....
