Just my view.
Of course it would be better to have one forum. But from my point of view I get that many people didn't like the constant bickering between myself and Bangit'/JimmyExile/StanleyWeinstein/ et al. Frankly they/he/she would perhaps find it much more straight forward to be disruptive if there were only one board. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but on this board debate has become much more constructive. Disagreement doesn't seem these days to lead to rows.

Not only that but the appearance and usefulness of this site is also improved. Such a pity that traffic here is reduced. I really don’t mind a bit of cut and thrust in a public bar but it seems quite a lot of punters prefer a quiet chat in the library.

Where have Bangit'/JimmyExile/StanleyWeinstein/ et al gone. It's so much better without them. There's more hapless bickering on the other site now. Maybe they all join us apart from 1!

Cardiff have had two successful boards for many years. Leave us with the choice we have now. I happen to choose this one because it suits me.

I was fed up with the bickering before the old iteration of this board ended, so I'm enjoying threads not being taken over with the trading of insults.
But there doesn't seem to be the engagement that there used to be. I keep hoping that things will improve as the season progresses, and it probably will, but I have noticed several times I've posted 24 hours apart with no one posting in-between.

Yet each topic seems to rack up 100s of views. Either we have a lot of lurkers, bots, or some of you like re-reading the same topics over and over again.

That is what makes it different this time. When GC took over I was optimistic that he could turn things around because I knew that he was inheriting good players who had been mismanaged by the previous regime. This time an experienced manager would have to be mad to want to take our present squad on.

Agree and that’s very sobering and it’s what I was getting worried about. He probably hasn’t even worked out his best lineup yet and is apparently oblivious of our deficiencies at full back. The only manager’s job I’d want atm is that of any club playing against us!George Guest wrote:That is what makes it different this time. The full back situation isn't a new one. County have had a succession of players in those positions from teams higher up the EFL that were probably about as good as we've got at the moment. I think current football is only interested in churning out wing backs, not in players that can defend that area of the field, which could mean players coming into the squad need to be taught the basics of defending...
