I think you have to accept that at 9-10 games in the points difference is still likely to be quite small between many teams. But it's also true that in many seasons over the last decade, promotion/relegation and play-off places are still up for grabs on the final day of the season.

Sure the standard of football is greater in the Premier League, but you can't beat the EFL for drama throughout the season.
